5 moments from Saturday at the farmers market

We decided we needed a family fund time this weekend, so we packed up the kids and headed to the downtown York Central Market!
We had sushi, yum! a beer each at the Mud Hook Brewery.
The boy had a corn dog, sand tarts and hand cut fries.
The girls had hand cut fries and pop rocks!
Lunch choices of champions..right?!?!

This is Vann enjoying his Sand Tarts

Vann and Momma, say cheese

Pop Rocks are super fun!

So is crawling under the table when you are 2 years old.

This is how they usually spend their time together sharing a tune and playing on their phones.

It was a super fun time till the melt down from mr 2 year old occured, then it was time to go, now!!

5 sentence sunday

Saw my brother and his family last night it was freaking awesome, cured the baby fever I have been having!!

Baby boy has spent the last two mornings getting up at 5 or 6 am and proceeding to be the whiniest crankiest butt head ever, but he did have a cute moment this after noon playing with daddies binoculars. We asked him what he saw, and he replied "poop"...LOL

The bills keep rolling in and hubby is still on unemployment.

I hate being a one and a half income family every winter [read as...our credit is going down the TUBES!).

My daughter has created the most outstanding tri-board for her seminar presentation on Vocaloid. (btw, if you know what vocaloid is you get extra points in my book)

so I have decided

So seeing as I am not that great at doing regular posts, and I do not want to give up, I just need to find a style that works for me.
So you will all just have to deal with the learn as I go process.

I have decided that I will do five sentence posts, simple, to the point, and sweet.

It is rainy here today, but I am wearing new scrubs that I LOVE!!! and the white pants survived my son in the morning get ready time...

Having Jimmy Johns for lunch(they have that great almost shaved ice for the soda's), the bright spot of the work day, because this is a boring day, one of those days where you have to find things to do.

It is Valentimes night.....

after a long day of despair, (I know, I am SUCH a girl, right?!?!) I have decided to have a lovely evening with my hubby.

I mean after all, he is the love of my life. There is no one else on this earth I would rather spend my time with.
He makes me laugh, he gives me the "good feelings" (you know what I mean) and we like each other...still! We have been together for 8 years now, that is a long time to be with someone and still like them. I think anyway. Especially someone that you live with everyday, and share chores, kids and money with.

So I asked him before I left work for the day.."did you get me anything for Valentimes day??" to which he replied, "nothing big, I mean, I got you a card and something for us to share"
I just didn't want to show up empty handed, and by the way, this is my absolute least favorite holiday of the year....
So I stopped at the drug store, thinking I would grab him a card and maybe a fishing magazine....
But as I shopped the card aisle,  I got so disgusted and the only thing I thought I would want to write in the card is, "Here's a card, I love you and I hate this fucking holiday". That being my thoughts, I decided it best to fore go the card and just go home.
On may way home he asked me to pick up something for us to drink. OK I thought, perfect! I will get us some "good" beer.

And when I got home I saw on the porch the reason why he asked me to pick something up....poor guy.

That's right, a broken bottle of wine......he was trying.

And I did not get to finish this one as I would have liked, but I am going to post before it is too late to post anyValentines stuffs......

So we enjoyed our beers, shared a bowl of rice and I snuck off to bed because I was too tired to hear the arguement as to why I can not just go to sleep on Valentines night.

It's ValenTIMES Day

So **Happy Valentimes Day**
I know, I know, it is valenTINES, NOT TIMES....
But I worked with this girl at American Eagle and she would say ValenTIMES and I thought it was just the cutest thing because it seemed as though that is really how she thought is was said.....so anything that can still make me giggle a little bit to myself is still worth it. Don't you think?
so I am super in the dumps today, not sure why, just having a down kinda day.
But trying my darnedest to choose happiness. I just started a new anti anxiety medicine to help me sleep at night, you see, the past 3 weeks I have been dealing with horrible insomnia as a result of stress. (husband laid off, unemployment is not coming thru as it should, bills still coming in, children, home, price of gas, work, you know the usual). Dr said, "here, try this anti anxiety med, it will help you relax and get some rest". Well, that it does...I have been actually getting rest the past 4 nights. However, after waking up in the mood I am in today I did a little more research and find that one of the side effects of this med is a worsening of depression symptoms, (which I currently struggle with, its wonderfully hereditary). So I will be stopping said anti anxiety med, getting myself some good ole sleep aids at the CVS, and hope to goodness that they do the trick.
And I am so hungry today. it is 10:51am and I have had a bowl of frosted flakes, 2 cups of coffee, a turkey and cheese sandwich, 3 peanut butter cups, and a baggie of grapes. That is a lot more food than I usually eat all day.
ooopss, just had another peanut butter cup jump right into my mouth, geez.
So maybe to cheer me up I am going to grab some decadent steaks on the way home and a bottle of wine.
Make a nice dinner for the hubster and I after the Monkey goes to bed, and have a date night.
That sounds like a plan.
Ok all, have a nice day, and I will try to take some pics tonight to add to my post tomorrow for some visual interest.

READY OR NOT.....

Hello.
First entry.
Just wanted to start a blog to share my journey, struggles and joys of:

being the wife of a dreamer,

mother to 2 amazing children;

a 14 year old girl who is turning out to be more amazing than I could have ever dreamed,

and a 2 year old boy who is the cutest, sweetest, and LOUDEST person I have ever met.

I am an over sharer.
I like to make nests to snuggle in.
I am addicted to magazines. With a dream of someday being a part of one.
When I grew up I wanted to be the person who made store windows look pretty in the city.
I like to create art with magazine tear outs. Here are 3 of my favorites....

So hopefully you will join me and hopefully I can share something along the way that you relate to and can say to yourself "I am glad I am not the only one". And maybe when you are struggling I will help by saying something that changes your perspective. lastly, when I am struggling maybe you will say something that will change my perspective.
